day 13 - a movie that is a guilty pleasure
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Alright, as much as I love this movie even I can admit that it isn’t really a good movie. I mean, the acting is mediocre and some parts of the plot lack a little something-something. But come on. This movie is amazing! For starters, it stars Peter Frampton and the fucking Bee Gees. Not to mention that it has notable people like Alice Cooper and Steve Martin on the cast as well. Do I need to mention George Burns, Aerosmith and Earth, Wind & Fire, too? Because I will. I can forgive the general cheesy-ness of this movie simply for it’s cast and the songs… I mean, Steve Martin’s “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” is nothing short of hilarity! There’s a reason that I bought this movie at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame last year… because I couldn’t find it anywhere else and it’s one of those movies that I simply had to own.
